On the evening of Jan. 7, 2025, the Eaton Fire tore through the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, fueled by hurricane-force Santa Ana wind gusts. Altadena, a tight-knit suburb just north of Pasadena, experienced the worst of the wildfire’s destruction. The Eaton Fire claimed 18 lives and destroyed more than 9,000 structures including homes, businesses, houses of worship, schools, and historic sites. According to TMZ, Ronald Fenty, father of superstar Rihanna, has passed away at the age of 70.

Sources with direct knowledge say he died in LA after dealing with an illness. Rihanna’s brother Rajad Fenty was seen earlier in the week at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. While Riri wasn’t visible in the photos, insiders say she was present as well, staying out of the public eye during the emotional moment.

 KMOJ-FM 89.9 LAUNCHES THE STATE’S FIRST URBAN HIP-HOP STATION

 The New Urban Hip-Hop sound heats up the Minneapolis-St. Paul airwaves today at Noon and in the process logging another first for The Center for Communication and Development/ KMOJ-FM and HD1.

CCD/KMOJ-FM 89.9 is on the air with KMOJ HD2, The Ice. The new HD Channel, found at KMOJ-FM 89.9 HD2, is Minnesota’s first Urban Hip-Hop format. The Ice will also present Public Affairs programming in keeping with its community radio FCC license.… Read more
