The music and television community is reeling after the unexpected death of actor Floyd Roger Myers Jr., who passed away at age 42 from a heart attack at his Maryland home. His mother, Renee Trice, revealed that Myers had suffered three prior heart attacks in recent years. Last week, the trial began for former Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Grayson, who shot and killed 36-year-old Sonya Massey on July 6, 2024, at her home in Springfield, Illinois. On Wednesday, a jury found Grayson guilty of second-degree murder. The retail giant Target announced internally that they would be cutting 1,800 corporate jobs throughout the company, in response to combatting slumping sales due to a boycott of Target by the public over its rollback on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The round of layoffs is the first for the company in a decade.
