Mariah Carey’s Twins, 13, Call Out Mom on Instagram, Ask Her to ‘Delete’ Photos of Them Easter Egg Hunting

Mariah Carey‘s twins aren’t too happy about the singer’s “Easter hijinks.”

On Monday, April 21, the singer, 56, uploaded a series of photos in an Instagram carousel to celebrate Easter. However, Carey’s 13-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon, noted that they weren’t too thrilled by her posting the pictures.

After Carey shared the snaps to her 14.1 million followers, her children commented on her post, expressing their embarrassment. Moroccan commented, asking, “Why do you do this to me mom😭,” Sharing a similar reaction to her brother, Monroe added, “OMG DELETE IT.”This is not Carey’s first time embarrassing her children. On Thursday, April 3, Carey and Monroe strolled into the room while Moroccan was live on the streaming platform Twitch for about 10 minutes playing video games with friends.

In the video, Moroccan — or “Rocky” as his mom and dad call him — could be heard talking to the two off-camera before he cut the audio and then came back on to tell his audience: “Sorry chat, my mom is here.”

Playfully teasing, his fellow streamers can then be heard chiming in to say, “Hey, Mrs. Carey!” and Monroe then walked into frame holding a dog. “You wanna come here, Mom?” Rocky then asked the “Fantasy” singer, who then popped her head into view, standing over his shoulder.

“Okay, y’all need to get out now. Just, everybody get out,” Rocky then told his mother and sister, seemingly embarrassed. “Mom, they can see you. They’re saying, ‘Hi Mariah, I love you!’ Oh my God.”

“Hi, you guys!” Carey told the audience. “I love you too.”

The teen then lovingly rescinded his invitation and requested that Monroe and his mom leave the room, asking: “Can y’all please get out, please? Love you. Get out of my room!”Both Carey and Cannon, who were married from 2008 to 2014, have been candid about just how close they are with their children.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in December, Carey opened up about how her twins had been joining her onstage to perform during her Christmas tour.

“I think they’re both very talented and smart, and if they want to pursue having a life as an entertainer, then I think they should,” she said. “It’s a hard kind of life, but they seem to really love performing, so I’m happy for them.”
