New details are emerging about the victims who tragically lost their lives during the New Year’s Eve celebration on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Louisiana. According to ABC News, 15 people were killed and approximately 30 others injured when Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the suspect, drove through barricades and deliberately crashed into a crowd of revelers ringing in the new year. The FBI has identified 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. Army veteran from Texas, as the suspect behind the deadly New Year’s Day NOLA attack.
The attack unfolded in the early hours of New Year’s Day (around 3:15 am) after Jabbar drove a rented pickup truck along a three-block stretch on Bourbon Street, hitting dozens of innocent bystanders.
