Lee finished second in the all-around competition in Minneapolis over the weekend.

Sunisa Lee, the superstar gymnast from St. Paul, is going to Paris for what will be her second appearance at the Olympics and an opportunity to take home another gold medla.

Lee, along with Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera, will represent Team USA at the Paris Olympics July 26 through Aug. 11 after they qualified at the Olympic Trials in Minneapolis over the weekend. Leanne Wong and Joscelyn Roberson were named alternates.

Biles won the automatic bid with an all-around score of 117.225. Lee was second overall at 111.675, a score that was fueled by her top mark on the uneven bars.

Lee won the all-around gold at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Women’s gymnastics will take center stage in Paris with the qualifying round on July 28, followed by the women’s team final on July 30 and then the women’s all-around final on Aug. 1.
