Former Vice President Joe Biden is celebrating a win in Minnesota’s presidential primary. Biden took several big metro areas, including the Twin Cities on his way to a victory declared late last night. He led Sanders by more than 55-thousand votes with most precincts reporting.

Dozens of people advocating for the release of Myon Burrell took over the stage at a campaign rally for Sen. Amy Klobuchar in St. Louis Park last night. The campaign called off the event after a 40-minute delay. Hundreds of Klobuchar supporters were joined by dozens of people, who quickly took the stage. The rally in Klobuchar’s home state was supposed to be the cap on a weekend in which she visited 11 different states to get out the vote ahead of Super Tuesday.
Nine young singers from across the U.S. are on their way to Hollywood after passing Sunday’s auditions on American Idol. The second episode of the singing competition aired last night on ABC, and featured celebrity judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie touring the U.S. to view singing auditions. By the end of the two-hour episode, nine singers made it to the next round. American Idol will return with more auditions in episode three next Sunday.
Thousands of mourners will gather in Staples Center on Monday to say farewell to Kobe and Gianna Bryant. The basketball superstar and his 13-year-old daughter will be
honored in a public memorial at the arena where Bryant played for
the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe and Gianna Bryant died along with seven others on Jan. 26 in a helicopter crash.

Actress, model and TV personality B. Smith is dead. B. Smith, whose legal name is Barbra Smith, passed away Saturday at the age of 70. Smith’s husband made the announcement saying she died peacefully in their home on Long Island after battling early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease. She began her modeling career in the ’60s and became the first African-American woman on the cover of Mademoiselle Magazine. In 1997, Smith launched a popular cooking and lifestyle show, “B.
Beyonce is one of the big winners at the 51st annual NAACP Image Awards. “Homecoming: The Live Album” won for Outstanding Album and Beyonce won for Outstanding Female Artist, while “Before I Let Go,” won for Outstanding Contemporary Song. The estate of Rick James is being sued for 50 million dollars for the supposed rape of a minor in the 70s. According to the Buffalo news, the unidentified plaintiff alleges that the late R&B star raped her in 1979 at the group home for troubled youth where she lived. The victim was just 15 at the time. She alleges in an affidavit, “Almost immediately, Rick James was very suggestive and inappropriate towards me. He made me feel very uncomfortable.” She says
An actress in “Boyz n the Hood” has died. TMZ reports Esther Scott died on Valentine’s Day after an apparent heart attack at her home in Southern California last Tuesday. Esther was also in films such as “You Got Served” and “The Pursuit of Happiness.” She was 66-years-old.
Actress Ja’net Dubois is dead at the age of 74. Dubois was found dead in her Glendale, California home on Tuesday. She starred in the T.V. show “Good Times” and also came up with the theme song for “The Jeffersons.” She also has two Emmy awards to her name for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for her work on “The PJs.” Dubois is survived by her three children.
