Volunteers Of America-Minnesota is looking for skilled parents to provide care for infants to teenagers in their foster care program.  There are hundreds of youth in the twin cities in need of a home.  Volunteers Of America provides foster parents with valuable training, 24 hour support and a monthly stipend.  For more info.  952-945-4000 or voamnwi.org/foster-care.

Celebrating The Gathering Of The Children Of God.   Mount Olivet Baptist Church is celebrating their Annual Homecoming Service.  Oct.22nd 8am and 10:45 am.Guest speaker is Rev. Kenneth Cutler from Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church.  Mount Olivet is located at 451 Central Ave. is St. Paul. 

From Life To Death is a nonprofit organization based in Mpls. serving families in our community who have been impacted by homicide.  Their seeking mothers to participate in a professionally facilitated focus group to help beter serve mothers in our community.  Participants will receive dinner and a stipend for their time.  For more info. PPL is offering a free Building Operations Technician Program, you’ll get training for building operations and facilities engineer jobs.  You’ll get the hands on training you need plus a paid internship with our employer partners.  Students will also take the Minnesota Special Engineer Boiler Operator’s License Exam.  A criminal record is not an automatic disqualify.  You need a high school diploma or GED and some experience in the facilities and /or maintenance field.  PPL Learning Center is on the corner of Chicago and Franklin in south Mpls..  Monday at 9am.  or cal  612-455-5300.
