It’s Jackie Robinson Day in Major League Baseball.  Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier as the first African-American to play in the majors with the Brooklyn Dodgers on this Day in 1947.  Players, managers, and coaches throughout the league will wear his retired number-42 jersey.  There will also be a commemorative sleeve patch and cap insignia.  Teams that are off today, will celebrate Tuesday instead.
